Coworking has changed the way we work, but choosing between an urban or rural space can make all the difference. While cities offer dynamism, rural environments bring tranquility and well-being.
Nature and Wellbeing
In the city, noise and stress are constant. On the other hand, in a rural coworking, the natural environment favors concentration and creativity, reducing mental exhaustion.
Close Community
Urban coworking can be impersonal. Coworking fosters authentic and collaborative relationships, creating a supportive network among professionals.
More Space and Lower Costs
In the countryside, spaces are larger and more accessible, with gardens and outdoor seating areas, as opposed to the cramped and costly environments of the city.
Greater Productivity
Without urban distractions, workers can better focus on their projects and find a balance between work and rest.
My experience
I decided to live in first person the experience of working in a coworking and rural coliving, and for that I visited Hamlet's Friends, a space located in Toledo at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos. I wanted to understand firsthand what it's like to make remote working away from the hustle and bustle of the city and what makes this type of space special. During my stay, I spoke with their CEO, who explained: "Rural coworking spaces not only improve productivity, but also offer a transformative experience. At Hamlet's Friends, we combine work, nature and community for a perfect work-life balance."
